- Purpose
To improve accessibility, independence and safety while allowing the client to remain in their home.
Enso Build completed a tailored NDIS home modification in Jamisontown, creating safer and easier access to and from the client’s home.
The existing change in levels made everyday access more difficult and presented potential trip and fall hazards. A custom timber ramp was constructed to provide a smoother transition between the home’s entry points and surrounding outdoor areas.
Designed around the existing property, the modification supports the client’s mobility needs and provides greater confidence when entering or leaving the home, including when using a mobility aid.
The modifications included:
- Construction of a custom timber access ramp
- A smoother transition between the existing levels
- Integration with the home’s existing entry and outdoor areas
- Improved access for the client and their mobility aid
Key Benefits for the Client
- Safer, easier and more reliable access to and from the home
- Reduced trip hazards and risk of slips, trips and falls
- Greater independence when entering and leaving the property
- Increased confidence when moving between different levels
- Improved accessibility without the need to move homes
“Adam from ENSO Build did a wonderful job extending our deck to the garage to make it one level for us to walk straight access, with a ramp on one side to make it so much easier for my husband’s wheel chair also. It’s been life changing for us. Adam’s eye for detail and his skill as a carpenter are truly exceptional. I would highly recommend Adam & ENSO Build to everyone. Thanks Adam from Tracey and Gary”

DVA Participant
- Purpose
To improve daily independence, mobility, and safety within their existing home environment
In 2025, we completed a tailored home modification project in South Penrith for a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) participant. The modifications were designed to enhance safety, accessibility, and comfort, ensuring the home could better support the client’s lifestyle and mobility needs.
The client was experiencing mobility challenges that made everyday movement around the home unsafe and difficult. Key areas within the bathroom and entry points became risk zones that limited independence.
We delivered targeted accessibility upgrades to ensure safer footing, easier access, and improved support throughout high-use areas.
The modifications included:
- Non-slip flooring throughout high-traffic areas
- Grab rails and handrails for stability and confidence
- Bathroom and toilet upgrades to reduce fall risk and improve ease of use
Key Benefits for the Client
- Restored safety and confidence in daily living
- Increased mobility around the home without constant assistance
- Peace of mind for both the client and their family
- Long-term accessibility aligned with changing needs
